I am new to the site and am hoping that some of you very knowledgeable people will be able to point me in the right direction for getting hold of this very old and apparently sunk without trace film. Men of Tomorrow was a British B movie made in 1958 (1959 in some listings) and featured a young David Hemmings. The distributors have long since gone out of business and the company who took over their catalogue do not know what happened to this particular film. The reason for this search is that a very good friend of mine and his dad were extras on the film and have never seen it ... his dad is now 83 and I would love to try and track it down if it was at all possible.
I have posted this message on the DVD/VHS wanted page too so I do apologise to people who are reading it twice!!!
Any help or advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Bobbie

I am now totally confused in that I posted this on the general chat section and overnight it appears to have moved. Have I infringed some unwritten rule that I didnt know about ? I am sorry this appears twice on the wanted DVD/VHS lists that was not my intention.

Thumbs up

Hi Everybody
Firstly a slightly belated Happy New Year to all of you!! Now secondly this is where I hope someone out there can help me. I am looking for anything on the British Film "Men of Tomorrow" ... this is not the 1930's film with Robert Donat but one made in 1958/59 (depending on the listing) and featuring a young David Hemmings.
I have actually asked about this film on this forum in the past to no avail and do apologise for repeating myself but it was quite a here now and someone may be able to help
The reason for my fruitless search for anything to do with this film is because both my friend and his father were extras in it and neither of them has ever seen it or know what has happened to it.
I do hope someone out there may be able to give me some information about this
Thanks for taking the time to read this
Regards
Bobbie

Hi, Bobbie. I think your best bet would be to contact the BFI (British Film Institute) about this. If they haven't got this 41 minute film in their archives, maybe they know who to put you on to in order to find it. The original distributor was E. J. Fancey and it was released as a supporting film in March, 1959.
