Default Tawny Pipit (1944)
Can anyone help me I'm looking for the film Tawny Pipit. My husband was an extra in it when he was very young and I would love to get hold of it to suprise him. I have tried everywhere to get this so if someone could help I will be very grateful.

I have searched everywhere trying to buy a copy of this film and if anyone has one they are willing to sell (either dvd or video) I would be grateful to hear from them

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Tawney Pipit (1944)? DVD or VHS would be OK. I cannot determine whether or not this film was ever released on DVD or VHS. Any help would be appreciated!

'Tawny Pipit' is available on video (part of the British Classics Collection) and pops up on ebay now and again but usually sells for 20-30 quid. i have not seen it and have been trying to get it myself (but i won't pay such a ridiculous price!) partly because i've heard it is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.

It's not awful! It's a great film and I love the use of the countryside around Lower Slaughter in Gloucestershire.

It was shown reasonably frequently on Channel 4 over the past few years, but seems to have disappeared again. It's about time DDHE brought it out on DVD, together with The Foreman Went to France.
