Outcast Of The Islands - Britmovie

I've searched all over for these two. Lease of Life(Robert Donat) is not a great film but for nostalgic reasons a must have; the only solid sighting info on the web seems to be down to bus spotters and their interest in the East Yorkshire buses which were built to go thru Beverly Bar.
Outcast of the Islands (Trevor Howard) on the other hand is a neglected classic which I thought I had tracked down but when I looked more closely at the site found it was devoted to "coming of age films", apperently on the basis of the presence of Robert Morley's young daughter.

Can anyone help, please ?

I have both LEASE OF LIFE and AN OUTCAST OF THE ISLANDS. I agree with you totally about the Carol Reed film and cannot understand why it is not more widely known.

Does anyone know if Carol Reed's marvellous Outcast of the Islands is available anywhere on either DVD Region 2 (preferred) or VHS ?

Saw it on Channel 4 probably 15-20 years ago but haven't seen it since - great performance by Trevor Howard.

I have never seen a legit DVD release but I picked up a DVDr of the film off ebay a while ago for about £2.

There's a VHS listed at the moment ...

Outcast of the Islands VIDEO Trevor Howard on eBay, also, Videos VHS, DVD, Film TV (end time 28-Jun-08 18:31:53 BST)
