This film was made around 1968. It was certainly shown at the cinema in Gerrards Cross about that time and I have a tiny press cutting of the screening times to prove it! One of the actors was the late Richard Leech who afterwards wrote quite candidly about the director. Clearly the film 'bombed' but as I never got to see it at the time I would relish the opportunity to do so now just to satisfy my curiousity!
Any helpful suggestions would be welcome.

Promenade, which also starred Kate O'Mara, was distributed at the time of release in the summer of 1968 by 20th Century-Fox and went out as the support to Planet of the Apes.

Bloody hell!! The cinema in Gerrards Cross? My friend Vanessa's girlfriend Jane runs that now. I bet she's never heard of Donovan Winter though...is he still trying to finance films by suing airlines, one wonders?

Are you from round there, Dogarina? I'm an 'Uckers' man myself.

"Whatever happened to Fay Wray?"

Yes! lived there 1954-80 - it used to be a grotty old Essoldo cinema! Do you know something about Donovan Winter that I don't? The film 'Promenade' is proving to be extremely elusive but I promise you it did exist!
