Then surely the obvious thing to do is to send Mark C Bale a PM via the Roobarb's site. Or am I missing something?

Hi, You may know this already! I was watching an Arthur Askey Heroes of Comedy programme and information was given out that Pete Waterman (Musician/Songwriter) had, some time ago, bought all the video rights to all of Arthurs movies. Maybe that may be a route? Hope this is helpful.
Kind regards
Lawrie

I have tried emailing Pete Waterman a few weeks ago using an address I googled, but so far no replies, all mails will probably be filtered out by a secretary, assuming I even got the right address.

Pete Waterman does not own any rights to any Arthur Askey films.

His company PWL did license some of them for release on PAL VHS in the early 1990s but those rights have lapsed.

One step ahead of you there Ev, but never received a reply. I think they must know it's one of the rarest films out there and is worth it's weight in trades. But one day one will turn up.
