I am trying to get hold of a very old film called Josa in the Navy which my dad used to show in village halls during the 2nd war. He gave film shows all over the south east to those looking for entertainment. My dad is now nearly 90 and often talks about this film. I would love him to see it before it is to late. If anyone can help please let me know would you. Many thanks.

Probably called "Josser Joins The Navy" (1932) starring Ernie Lotinga. He also made "Josser on the Farm" and "Josser on the River". My father was a fan of Lotinga and used to go and see him on the halls. Lotinga was reckoned to be much bluer than Max Miller, so was very popular. As they used to say in the 30s - "broad comedy"
