Can anyone help me find a copy of this hammer film starring Eric Porter and Suzanna Leigh please, i have been told that it is comercially available but after searching the net for the last two months have only found region 1 dvds from overseas suppliers at extortinate prices (£20 plus). I have a few titles to swap a couple of which i have been told are hard to find. I would dearly like to watch this film again as i haven't seen it for well over twenty years and remember it as being quite a weird film and only recently discovered its title thanks to forum members.

Cheers Kev

Kev, you must be looking in the wrong places. THe Lost Continent is avialble with The Reptile on Anchor Bay, both in anamorphic widescreen, from DVD Pacific for £8.18 and £3.08 for air mail delivery if it is a single disc, £3.64 if it is a double disc. That's less than £12.

This one still popos up on EBay and is available quite reasonably from Amazon Germany on this link :

Amazon.de: Bestien lauern vor Caracas (Hammer-Edition): DVD: Eric Porter,Hildegard Knef,Michael Carreras,Suzanna Leigh,Gerard Schurmann

You MUST be a Hammer completist to want THIS one, Carmel !

Mind you, it's one of Mrs. Smudge's faves as it features Tony Beckley...

If you do buy the German version (the soundtrack is easily switchable) do post back and let me know what the interview 'extra' is on it would you ?

Bestien lauern vor Caracas (1968) a.k.a The Lost Continent - DVD review at Mondo Esoterica

The interview is with stuntman Eddie Powell, who doubled for Christopher Lee in at Hammer. He worked on this film but the interview appears to be on his genral career (50mins) and was filmed at the Fantastic Film Festival in Manchester in 1998, two years before his death.

Surely it would be easier to track down if it was the Lost Incontinent?
