Thanks for the suggestions Steve!
Having already watched a number of film shot on location in London from the period, I have been surprised to learn that Black Cabs often feature as no more than a backcloth for the film - driving by in the background of the action.
What I'm really looking for, is when the cab becomes part of the film, when characters use it in one way or another. I am looking at crime films in particular.
Ladykillers is indeed a great black cab film, only, I'm struggling to find more like it. London Belongs to Me was added to my list of films only today, so if you do know of other such films where a cab plays a part and is more than just part of the postcard London setting, then I'd be really grateful if you'd let me know.
Thanks again!
