Hi,

For many years I have been searching for a copy of the 1956 film "The Dangerous Years" starring the late Franky Vaughan. I acquired a copy from the USA but unfortunately the quality is very poor. Would any have any ideas of how I may track down a copy in any format.

One copy I purchased from New York Company called Video Club, the copy was very poor with excerpts missing, a friend purchased another copy from ebay which unfortunately is a further copy of the one I have. Still searching for a copy in any format. Thanks for the interest

I bought a copy on Ebay recently, from a UK based company and it was of quite good quality considering its date. With dreadful acting from Mr Vaughan, but who cares; he was a terrific singer !
It was sadly missing the minefield scene with I have never forgotten.
Otherwise wonderful to see it again,after some 50 odd years.

I bought a copy of this film, although it was the American title and unfortunately, the minefield scene was cut (as someone previously mentioned).
I was very disappointed as I saw this film with my mum (she's a great Frankie Vaughan fan) and the minefield scene stuck in my mind ever since.
The release with that scene cut makes complete nonsense of the following scene where Frankie returns to barracks to confront the soldier who was the cause of his best friend getting blown up!
I am still searching for a BRITISH release of this film....but I'm not holding my breath.......unless anyone has dvd'd it from the TV!
