American guy, called Bob, has this video available. You will have to contact him through his web site.

Hi there,

Can anyone help me with this dvd. No-one seems to have any stocks of it and I wanted my children to watch it. I remember reading the book when I was small and then the film followed.

Thanks

There is one on ebay for buy now for £60, this film is sadly now deleted for dvd and may not be released again. Lets hope it will. It will be hard enough to get an original dvd in this film now.

Live each day to the full because one day it will be your last.

I bought this DVD about a year ago and have been saving it up to show my nephew this Christmas. It is a wonderful (underrated) movie and I am 'amazed' to hear that it has been deleted!
Blockbuster, Asda and Sendit all claim to be able to supply it - but if you are still having problems after trying to order - feel free to pm me.

Oi! You've broken all our bottles! I'm telling Mr Grimsdale of you......

Have been on Blockbuster - it is available to rent but not to buy. Sendit, Amazon and Asda don't show that title at all.

I heard the film had been deleted now. Shame!

Yes - after further googling I have come to that conclusion too - what an awful shame
The saddest thing is that the Sendit and Asda links took me to 'The Evil Dead'!

They've showed on tv here a few times and if it's been deleted, I'll have to get a copy next time it's shown. Unbelievable........

Presumably Starz/Anchor Bay's rights elapsed...maybe Marc Morris can chime in with further info here?

The way of the DVD business means in all liklihood it will re-emerge at some point from another company, who will probably acquire it in some package.

I confess I only ever saw it once (a long time ago) on TV one weekday afternoon and didn't much care for it; it's a title I really should revisit.

At £39, it's a bit pricey, but if you want it, you can get it.

But it would be nice to offer a 'back up' copy to people genuinely interested the movie. I'm willing to do this - and 'amazingly' I don't ask for money!

I understand the morality of your advice - but I bought this for £4.99 last year - so it seems quite potty for people to be renting it for £3.50.

I've just ordered a copy as a Christmas present for a family member. I think it's a DVD (if it's VHS, I can copy over onto DVD).

I'll let you know when it arrives.
