Saturday Night and Sunday Morning is being shown next Sunday on BBC4 at 8.50pm (rpt Thursday).

i think its available from WWW.bfi.org.uk on DVD and VHS , if not and if you dont have BBC4 let me know as i do have the movie,

B***er.
I taped the film sat down and watched 99% of it only to find that the video switched off 5 mins before the end ! Can anyone put me out of my misery and tell me what happened.

Yes it's just been released by BFI available at all the usual outlets, the Lonliness of the Long Distance Runner has also been released with it.
The DVD versions feature Director/Actors discussing the films.
The last 5 minutes of the aforementioned film has our hero finally getting together with Shirley Anne Field and spending time looking at a new estate for a house.
It finishes with him throwing a brick at the builders sign thereby still proving that the rebel inside still remains true to his convictions ?
