This was a 1960s social-climbing themed movie with Millicent Martin, Alan Bates and Denholm Elliott. I remember seeing it in the cinema and I think it may have had a few outings on TV. Has anyone got a copy transferred to DVD?

I have now found a copy of Nothing But the Best on a VHS I already owned but had forgotten about. The VHS is off-air from Bravo (in its early satellite format) and I have now transferred to DVD. I am posting this now in case anyone is still looking and wants a copy.

Coincidentally I recorded that same Bravo broadcast too and last weekend I also converted my Lumiere edition PAL tape to NTSC DVD. While I was transferring the tape I noticed a couple of scenes that I didn't recall seeing in the Bravo version (most notably shots of The Eagles when they were playing at the ball). I let it play on through of course but I do want to go back and compare the two to see what if anything was taken out. It could simply be that I turned away and missed those scenes when viewing the Bravo version but I've a feeling that the whole "John Peel" sequence might have been dropped. Hard to say having just watched both versions a few weeks apart. I'll take a peek this weekend and see if one has been edited. I hope not because that Bravo broadcast was a very nice clean print.

Hello,
Does anyone have a good copy of this film? My copy is one I recorded from the T.V. on my first video recorder and is slightly less than wonderful! It's an excellent film starring Alan Bates and Millicent Martin. Happy to pay and loads to swap.
