Always considered FBTG the best anthology one I've ever seen also the first film I ever recorded on VHS in about 1983! Tape is holding up well and the reception seemed a hell of a lot better than it is nowadays:mad:
Didn't think that Tales That Witness Madness was an Amicus feature - oh well an excuse to get the tape off the shelf and watch it again... Regards, Barry |

Sounds like the film you are thinking of is the very underrated The Asphyx, where a pioneer photographer (Robert Stephens) manages to capture the soul departing the body at the moment of death. Be warned: the R2 Anchor Bay edition from 2004 is heavily cut and uses a terrible print. Better to get the R2Umbrella edition, which I think is Australian but available on Amazon.

I got a bit lost halfway through but as I recall Peter Cushing was playing an austere, but basically decent Dr Frankenstein who captures a young chap's soul and gives it to the lad's dead girlfriend. |

I am waiting for my copy of this to arrive as I type, drumming my fingers each day the postman doesn't bring it. And then, Amazon isn't showing any availability yet...
Maybe I can be a supplier in trade scenarios... I am still concerned about my DVD-R NTSCs being well-functional in ye olde homeland, but I've tricked a foolish few into testing handfuls. When their reports come back to me, then I can feel more comfortable that sending you DVD-Rs will have good results. |

The following link is the USA AMAZON 'product page' about FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. Scrolling down into the User Comments section shows several "What Happened?" comments about the missed Nov 2006 release date.
