Agree entirely...hugely underrated film; one of the best Shakespeare films, Gielgud is majestic as Prospero, the music is superb, and every shot is composed, framed and lit like a renaissance fresco...the nearest thing in cinema to an Elizabethan masque. It's fashionable to deride Greenaway now, but this is his masterpiece IMHO....I haven't seen a DVD release, but I can recommend his 'Book of the Film' if you can find it as a reasonable price...that's sumptous too....
