Dunno but Anthony blooming Worrall Thompson would certainly be top of my list - with Jamie "Chancer" Oliver a high second!

Don't think it's a British movie. 1978 George Segal. USA? maybe.

Default too many chefs

I am sorry I thought it was British and just changed it`s name to who is killing the great chefs of Europe for American audiences it was called Too many chefs when I saw it but I just looked it up and you are right I would delete the post as this site is for British movies but I don`t know how.

I always thought it was at least partly British, as there are a lot of British faces in the cast (Peter Sallis, Robert Morley, John le Mesurier amongst others). I've just checked on imdb, and it turns out to be a US / Italy / France / West Germany co-production.

According to imdb it's available online via the US, Canada and German versions of Amazon.

I like Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares because it's more about common sense in running a business than solely focussing on the cooking. Of the other cooking type programmes I've seen the only one I enjoyed was The Great British Menu last year.

Most of the chefs who feature regularly on TV don't appear to show much in the way of personality, and so consequently I lose any interest I might have had at the start of the programme after just a few minutes. As a kid I quite enjoyed The Galloping Gourmet - Graham Kerr, and also Fanny Craddock who was quite funny in a peculiar way but they both had presence. The present day versions seem to do quite well out of their fame so the best of luck to them!

"...the chairman of Littlewoods stores made a Keynote speech!"

Default All Cookery Problems Should Be Banned

I hate all cookery programmes. After my wife watched Ainsley she bought a book and kept unleashing things on me which I thought tasted awful. I actually threw up once.
Fanny Craddock I could never relate to as she was too posh - and I remember Philip Harben who I think must be the only TV chef to appear in a couple of films - "Man Of The Moment" and "Meet Mr Lucifer". The rest of them all bore me to tears except Keith Floyd who is a character and even leaves in the stuff that goes wrong.
I am glad God invented takeaways....
