PLease can anyone help with information on how I can find a copy of this film?

There were at least two versions available at one time. The more recent version directed by Cacoyannis with Alan Bates and Charlotte Rampling is currently available on Region 1 DVD. Or you could wait til next month when the Judi Dench 1962 version will be released as part of a BBC box set.
