Default Roeg/Cammel's "Performance"

Did anyone record this when they showed it on BBC 3 and was the sound any better than the abysmal VHS? If so, I'd really like a copy. (This is one of my favourite films - inexplicably not on DVD yet)


If I had a swimming pool, it would probably burn down . . .

Did they show the UK or US release? In the US release Harry Flowers voice is dubbed and this is the version available in the shops. I know the bfi have just re-released the UK version at the cinema but the last time it was shown on British TV was on Moviedrome in the early 90s.

The BFI released the original UK print, the BBC4 film was the American video release.

Did anyone manage to record to DVD Performance on BBC2 this week ? Its one of the few Brit films I have been looking for for a very long time and can't get on DVD yet. I hope someone did ??

Yes, I did - check out my recent post.

Luckily a DVD is in the works at Warner (along with The Devils).
