Hi Mark

The 1928 silent docu - drama directed by Geoffrey Barkas?
It was issued by Grapevine many years ago, I don't think they still do it, their site is
Grapevine Video
Let me know if you can't find it and I will sort out a copy

Thanks for the link to Grapevine, Phil. I hadn't come across them before - are they a reliable seller, in your opinion? They certainly have an interesting catalogue.

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,
I have purchased from Grapevine for quite a while, they do mainly silent films but there are some interesting early talkies as well, usually American releases. They are a small family business and the service is always excellent, I don't think I've had to wait more than 10 days, often quicker. The films vary in quality depending on the source material but their descriptions are always honest. Definately worth adding to your list!!

Want to see a real Q Ship from the First World War?
There's one moored on the banks of the Thames in London.
HMS President acted as a Q Ship and is the only one to survive from that period. Many were destroyed by enemy action. Others have been scrapped in the years since then. But the President is still floating, just between Waterloo & Blackfriar's bridges on the Victoria Embankment.

Mark, are you sure you don't mean Q Planes, the 1939 British movie starring Laurence Olivier and Ralph Richardson.

Supposedly, Patrick Macnee based part of his John Steed characterisation from the Avengers on Richardson's performance here.

Just a thought.
