I have read with interest your post about Not Now Comrade. I have been converting my old tapes to DVD and I have a copy.
It was recorded on 20th June 1995 from BBC1 Scotland. This is a second generation copy because I copied it to a tape with Not Now Darling in 1998.
The picture and sound quality is average but there is colour bleeding on the credits as mentioned before. According to Elliot's Guide To Films On Video Not Now Darling was "shot in Multivista for good measure (an early forerunner to videotape that was not known for its clarity)". It doesn't say that Not Now Comrade was recorded using Multivista but they both look more blurred than other films of that time.
