Default Paul Temple films

I'm interested in Paul Temple films starring John Bentley. Any format. Does anyone know of, or have, any copies please?

Default Paul Temple titles

I recently acquired a DVD which was part of "The Golden Age of Cinema" series but did not provide any contact details on the cover. I've tried searching the internet to access the supplier or stockists of this series to see what other films are available but without success.
Can any of our members help me with this one please?
Thanks
BrianL:)

What was the film? This might help.

You have heard of the totally dodgy 'goldenageofcinema.com' website haven't you? They sell bootlegs DVDs and, if they were British based, this company would be breaking the law for its website alone.

The film was called "Send for Paul Temple". I was hoping to find other films about Paul Temple.
Thanks

They often have different people playing Paul Temple & Steve (his wife)

Calling Paul Temple (1948)
John Bentley & Dianah Sheridan
Available on VHS from Amazon.com
Paul Temple's Triumph (1950)
John Bentley & Dianah Sheridan
Paul Temple Returns (1952)
John Bentley & Patricia Dainton

There was also the TV series "Paul Temple" (1969) made by the BBC
Francis Matthews & Ros Drinkwater
4 series of 13 episodes each

But the ones I remember from growing up in the 50s are the radio series with Peter Coke and Marjorie Westbury and the "Coronation Scot" theme music.

A lot of those are available on the BBC radio collection.

The pictures are better on radio :)

Thanks Steve,
I've managed to obtain "Calling Paul Temple" and have been searching for the other two films you list without success so far.
Having grown up in the UK in the 40's and 50's, like you, I have fond memories of the radio series.
I've managed to borrow some of these from our local libraries but am now at the stage where I'm going to have to purchase from the BBC.
Am currently listening to "The Margo Mystery". I'd forgotten how good they are.

I am on the same quest! I'd love to get hold of any of the 3 Temple films, prefer the last 2 John Bentley ones. Were they ever released on video or DVD? They are probably awful, but still of interest as part of the overall history of 'Paul Temple'.
Fans of the old Dick Barton radio serials had the release of the 3 Barton films as a set a couple of years ago - they were awful but still worth seeing.

Now the BBC have run out of Peter Coke 60's radio series to release they have, rather dubiously, begun releasing straight readings of abridged Temple stories read by Anthony Head marketed under the same artwork as the full cast dramas!
