It's available on video in the States at places like Amazon.com under its American title of It Takes a Thief
A film made in 1960, starring Jayne Mansfield with extensive location shots on the Longmoor military railway. Was it ever put on Vidio?

That is true.
The film “it takes has thief” (John Gilling, 1960) with Jayne Mansfield, Anthony Quayle, Carl Möhner… exists in DVD. It recently was offered to me.
Unfortunately it is a truncated version. The film is only 70 min instead of the 101 minutes of the initial version. It read that the missing scenes are rather located in second half of film. Consequently the intrigue (and especially its outcome) is more difficult to follow/lack of logic. It is a pity.
I really do not understand why they did not use the complete version. It is really very frustrating.
In addition, the quality of the image and the sound is poor.
One could hoped for a minimum of restoration for a commercial version.
Do anybody know if a complete version of this film is available? or if a complete version of film were already diffused with the TV?
I think The Challenge was shown in the UK about five years ago on Channel 5. I should have a copy and will see if its the full version.
I am interested by the information.
