Hi all,
I'm looking for a few CFTF films Glitterball, Pop pirates, and Breakout.
Glitterball occasionally appears on eBay, but the last two were last on the BBC as the friday afternoon film feature in the late 80's. Breakout starred that boy from T Bag.
I would love to see these films again.
I do have two CFTF films myself both very rare.
Black Island 1979 starring Michael Elphick. Two kids go missing on a school trip when they are kidnaped by two escaped convicts, and are kept hostage in a derilect house.
Teryy On The Fence, Terry runs away from home and gets involved with a gang of kids.
I would be happy to do some exchanges.

There is an errant "e" in the email address JW posted on here - it should be btinternet not btinterenet. That will have been the problem if you copied it "as is".(Marber @ Oct 14 2005, 01:17 AM)

I'm looking for a copy of 'Zoo Robbery', made in the 70's, its a childrens film foundation film, this film is proving impossible to get, any help greatly appreciated, thank you.
just a shot in the dark but might it be OUR DAY OUT which was about a load of kids who go to the zoo on a school trip then steal various animals when the days is over.
If so i do have a copy of it.
Hi everyone,
I am desperately trying to find a copy of the CFF 1953 film "Clue Of The Missing Ape", starring George Cole. I have searched everwhere but to no avail! Can anyone help? Thanks.
Hi,
I thought i would expand a bit on my original post. My interest in this film is that it was shot almost entirely in Gibraltar (my home) in 1953. One of the child stars of the film, Nati Banda is known to me, and more so i know her son (Eric Rowbottom). Through these connections i do actually have a copy of this film, but it is a DVDR made from an old VCR copy and the quality is awful. This film shows so much about Gibraltar in those days and is indeed an excellent kids movie. I love to collect such films shot in Gibraltar like "Wonderful Things" (filmed in Catalan Bay), "Silent Enemy" (a true war story), "Captain's Paradise" (starring Sir Alec Guiness) and others. Both "Silent enemy" and "Captain's Paradise" are available commercially, but "Wonderful things" is not (again i do have an old copy of awful quality). Another film which features Gibraltar and is not available is "Operation Snatch", though i am unsure how much was filmed in Gibraltar (i do not have a copy). My main interest is in "clue of the missing ape", but i am of course interested in all Gibraltar films. If there is anyone out there that could be of any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
Have you checked the list of films that the IMDb lists with Gibraltar as a location?

Hi steve,
Thanks for your post and for the provided link. Some of the titles there are interesting ones which i have not heard from before, but the information is limited as to how much they are connected with Gibraltar, though i will surely investigate further! I was aware of course of the bond film, as i actually witnessed the filming of the various opening scenes in different locations in Gibraltar. Again thank you very much for your help.

If you can give any more details of whereabouts in Gibraltar the scenes were filmed and which scenes were filmed there then you can add that information to the IMDb. That's how the database was built up, we all contribute what we know.

This thread has made me wonder what has happened to Wonderful Things, starring Frankie Vaughan. It has never been issued on video or shown on television in the UK and I haven't seen it since I went to see it at my local ABC as an eleven year old in 1958. Oddly enough, the supporting feature at the time, a CinemaScope and colour Western entitled Quantrill's Raiders, starring Steve Cochran, has been shown on BBC2 numerous times. So why can't they show Wonderful Things? Some films certainly get forgotten about and no mistake.
I tried asking for this 6 months ago, to no avail. I'm going to try again though, just in case. I'm looking for a Childrens Film Foundation film called 'Zoo Robbery'.
If anybody has a copy they want to sell, or better still copy onto DVD, then please get in touch with me.
Thank you.
Steve.

I have a copy of Zoo Robbery. I taped it from TV many years ago. I have since put it on DVD. The quality is reasonable considering the original source. If you want a copy, please email me on if you still need a copy

One Wish Too Many
I have been searching for this title for years I even purchased a copy from the USA which failed to arrive. Does any one have this as I would love to see it again.
No Probs will let you know if I get lucky
I'd like a copy too, if you manage to locate it I'd appreciate the shout.
I'm looking for this CFF film. Can anyone help out? Would be very grateful. Thanks! :)
Dear All
Does anyone have any of the above? 1950's ones, but also early 1960's.....I'd love to see them, particularly Treasure at the Mill (1957), and Adventure in the Hopfields (1954) but any others would be welcome.
I already have "The Adventures of Hal 5" (1958)
Happy to pay reasonable costs. I do have a collection of films, but it is mainly packed away and inaccessible at present, so not really possible to swap, I'm afraid.
Many thanks
Rob
