I do have this film but on Betamax-a dub to VHS could be made, but wouldnt be too great quality due to the Beta being quite old now-I'm sure I've seen this movie on tape or even DVD available commercially-but if you have no luck let me know and I'll see if I can do a dub of the betamax.

I've got this on NTSC DVD, and am able to make a PAL transfer to DVD-R.

It was originally transferred from VHS tape. Quality varies from 7/10 to 9/10.

I have a good tape THE JOKERS on PAL VHS and can make you another tape or a DVD-R. Send me a Private Message if you are still looking.

One of my favourites along with The System. Michael Winner before he was crap. It was on the TV a couple of years ago.

I agree! I love The Jokers, along with I'll Never Forget What's 'is Name, another swinging '60s film with Ollie directed by Michael Winner. I recorded both from the TV years ago; quality not so good but watchable. I've never seen The System unfortunately.

I now have a much better PAL DVD-R copy of The Jokers, courtesy of Aphra. Credit where credit is due!

I also have The System on PAL DVD-R, if that would be of interest also. Please send me a Personal Message.

Kind regards,
Robert

Hallo RJD

I'm new to this chatroom but I too would appreciate a copy of The Jokers since when I taped it last time round I lost the last 10 minutes! I've got a Mini Moke too, but that's another story...

Can you get in touch about a DVD copy, please? And what's Aphra???

Cheers

B

Aphra is one of our fellow posters Brickus. (See above in this thread.)

Until I chatted with Aphra, I thought I had a fair few films

Between the members of this forum, 90+% of film requests can generally be met, I reckon.

Welcome, Brickus, you've joined a fine group!

The terms 'Aphra' and 'Smudge' were nicknames given by scientists to two local mass concentrations (mascons) that were initially detected as variations in the Earth's gravitational field. Initially believed to be the buried iron-nickel cores of two meteorites, they instead were discovered to be two very large movie collections.

Very very jealous Brickus, hence my avatar.

Two of the best things in life,

the Mini Moke and Oliver Reed

Dear Aphra,

I would LOVE to get a DVD of The Jokers - I've been trying for YONKS and haven't seen it for about 25 years. Please help me if you can. Look forward to hearing from you with bated (or is it baited) breath.
