    I'm amazed at how much better quality your image is......
    I'm not sure how "they" can clean up an old video image like that....but I'm glad they do
    I'm looking forward to seeing it again with more clarity this time.....
    I wonder when & if we'll ever see an official release, even if we're missing those two parts you mentioned....?

    I've no idea either. It's only when one sees similar shots from both versions that one realises what can be done.

    If there ever is a full release it will be complete! The BFI certainly holds a copy that has both missing scenes.

    I still find it strange that the perfect version cannot be released yet the go-ahead was given for a remake - which, rather fortunately, fell through.

    Actually, I'm pretty sure the copy I first got hold of six years ago was worse but I still treasured it until eventual success with the later version. Perhaps I should dig out the original version I had and see how the screengrabs compare.

    Of course Fell....
    My copy of Tatort is poorer quality than the first copy of SG....not the excellent copy you sent me...
    Luckily Mrs Sarge does remember a little basic German from school.....so she could translate enough to get the gist of it......
