I am looking for "Man In The Sky" starring Jack Hawkins 1957. I saw a thread where a con man named Neophyte was also looking for this film and a member named Mr T said that he had it, But it seemed neophyte was not too keen on paying. If anyone has a copy of MAN IN THE SKY I will be willing to pay for it by any method suggested by the seller. It seems that this film is no longer available, a friend of mine tracked the original to a place in London but they claimed they couldn't sell copies because they didn't know who owned the rights to it, but he could have a private viewing at their premises. The film was shot in my area when I was about 10 and I should love to see the place as it used to be.

Man In The Sky is coming to TCM Canada next month and I plan to nab it. Their broadcasts are usually in mint condition. It's under its US title "Decision Against Time", which is supposedly the same 87 minute length as the original UK version. PM me.

just wondered if anyone out there knows where i can get a copy of the 1957 film man in the sky. My parents remember it being made in wolverhampton and they know some people who where extras in the film.

a lot on information and details of the film can be found on various internet sites but i cannot find a copy for my parents.

It stars JACK HAWKINS, ELISABETH SELLERS, and a young DONALD PLEASANCE

It has also been named THE TEST PILOT, and the American release was titled DECISION AGAINST TIME.

If anyone can give me any information on how to obtain a copy on VHS or DVD I would be very grateful

I have an excellent DVD of MAN IN THE SKY which a good friend of mine taped from TCM Canada recently. In fact, I watched it this afternoon because it was filmed at Wolverhampton's old airport! It's a great Ealing film :-)
