Default The Ugly Duckling & Weekend With Lulu

Wonder if anyone has a copy of either or both of the above. Both made by Hammer.

Somewhat akin to searching for the Holy Grail here, methinks MP. Would love to see either turn up, but wouldn't place any bets...

I remember seeing 'The Ugly Duckling' years ago. I can't remember if was at the cinema or on the telly but I did enjoy it. Bernard Bresslaw is the (great?) grandson of Dr. Jekyll and discovers the infamous formula. He changes from a gormless dope into a really cool teddy boy. Well, a sort of teddy boy. he had an Italian suit with the bum-freezer jacket, they were all the rage then. I remember being impressed!!
Definitely a film to try and find.

Too right, MP ! A BRILLIANT spot by James....

All my collecting life I have seen/heard people asking about these two. Never in a million years did I think we'd see either. I wonder when it was last screened in the US ?

Perhaps the people at Hammer should be speaking to the people at TCM, as I have always got the impression that even Hammer didn't have their own copy ?

Both were distributed by Columbia, hence the problem. They also did The Camp On Blood Island and The Snorkel which have never seen daylight for years, only recently appearing unofficially on the net.
