    Many thanks guys.

    As to the price...

The plasterer called round yesterday to give us a quote for repairing the ceilings and came up with a figure of £700.

My wife thanked him, showed him out the door and, like a good Yorkshire lass, turned to me and said,

"bugger that for a laugh. Get down to B&Q, buy some plasterboard and finishing plaster and you can do the job yourself"

Maybe she will treat me when I have finished the lounge

Paul and Michelle directed by Lewis Gilbert - has anyone seen it? - i ask as it was shown on ITV in afternoon over 20 years ago and caused a furore because of its "sex scenes" - which were unsuitable for afternoon viewing

Only other film i know shown in afternoon that featured nudity was Perfect Friday

It was a sequel to Friends. Both films are OK, but nothing special IMHO. Very 70s in their production style and attitudes to 'young love'. IIRC Elton John did the music for Friends.

    Re: Nudity in the Afternoon.

There is a film called Deadly Encounter with Susan Anspach and Larry Hagman which was shown one afternoon. While watching it I was surprised when Susan Anspach got her tits out! The next time it was shown it was cut .... as is the DVDr version that surfaces from time to time. It's quite a good little thriller.

Does anyone have these films starring the young actors Sean Bury and Anicee Alvira? I haven't seen them for years:-

FRIENDS (also known as Algo Mas Que Amigos) (1971) - with Ronald Lewis and Joan Hickson. Music by Elton John: http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0067118

Sequel: PAUL AND MICHELLE (1974) - with Ronald Lewis and Peter Graves: http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0071978

    Thanks

There is a Japanese DVD of FRIENDS. I recalled the film (and its sequel) quite fondly from midweek afternoon showings on ATV; revisiting it on DVD a couple of years ago I though it was okay though not a keeper and I was not then able to make copies of discs before I offloaded them. If you want the film, the DVD offers a nice presentation. I recently saw (the sadly late) Anicee Alvina in Robbe-Grillet's GLISSEMENTS PROGRESSIFS DU PLAISIR but haven't been able to find LE RAMPART DES BEGUINES.

Thanks for the info, asiamiles. I've managed to source the long-deleted 16:9 Australian DVD Release which is winging its way over to me as we speak, but I'd love to find a copy of the sequel film "Paul And Michelle" if anyone ever recorded it from TV.

This was released on video cassette in Australia in 1987 but has never been released on DVD there.
