Hi.i have the Human Jungle Episode.a Friend of Sgt Major.
i also have a film Model for Murder.with Alfred Burke.
I'm a massive fan of Alfred Burke and I know that there are number of episodes/films that he as appeared in which have never been released on dvd.
I would love to find the non-released ABC episodes of Public Eye, the episode featuring Alfie in The Human Jungle called A Friend of the Sgt Major, the Butcher film Night Caller and the various Edgar Wallace Mysteries he appeared in for which I do have but not in a great condition.![]()

The Night Caller From Outer Space has been available on Region 1 DVD since 1999. You can get copies via Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com if your DVD player has Multi-region capability.

Not a route for any of the DVD's Resroc, but hopefully all the same an interesting accumulation.
ATV Television, when all those years based in Birmingham and the East Midlands, have had hundreds of their news reports 1955-1975 archived by the respective university libraries in the counties where ATV operated. All now amalgamated by the MACE local history project here in the Midlands, just one (to date) features Alfred Burke and an edition of Public Eye 'in-the-making'.

Watched him last night in charge of a now very dated newspaper office with typewriters all over the place in Locker 69 (1962).
He had such a good presence on screen; why did he not work in film between 1970 and 2002? His work on Public Eye, from choice or personal reasons I wonder ?
Hello Richard in Wales -
I corresponded with Alfred Burke courtesy of a professional contact in television, and he did have health issues towards the end of his career - although it seemed that he preferred the theatre experience at that stage rather than television/films. I do have non-released episodes of PUBLIC EYE if you're interested.

I have just watched the excellent BBC mini series "The Borgias" c 1981 - and was delighted to see Alfred Burke as Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere! It was so good to see him again.
