Who was the sewer worker or street cleaner who performed in the club with his band called the smile monsters or something vaguely similar? They played a raw rock & roll and were pretty good. I can't see him listed on the IMDb but I thought he was in many of the episodes. I think he also acted as a grass but was really a double agent, only feeding them information that Danny Kane wanted them to get Great series, great music, great writing, great performances. Steve |

I tracked him down to Hampshire way... Kevin Williams, the man behind clubWEST Productions has been a performer/writer/director/producer for over thirty years. As a performer he has appeared regularly on television (most notably as Ronnie Blythe, the grass, in two series of The Paradise Club with Leslie Grantham), starring in several West End shows and winning critical acclaim for his performances in Trelawny of the Wells, Guys and Dolls, Beggars Opera, at the Royal National Theatre. In the 70's, he was a member of Chichester Festival New Ventures (headed by Tony Robinson). In the 80's, he was resident producer/director of Alive on Sunday @ Xenon Piccadilly, London, giving opportunity to the likes of Rory Bremner, Jeremy Hardy, Arthur Smith, Tony Slattery, Julian Clary, and a host of others. In the 90's, he was co-director/producer of the Boulevard Theatre, London, culminating in the transfer of Bob Carlton's 'From a Jack to a King' to the Ambassador's Theatre, London. In recent years, he has written, directed and produced a host of productions for the Edinburgh Festival and beyond, winning him several Spirit of the Fringe Awards, a Best New Play Award for his play 'The Pigsty', and a Total Theatre Nomination for his multimedia dance/drama 'GO4'. 2003 saw the transfer of three Edinburgh Festival plays to the Arundel Festival, where he also runs the Arundel Ghost Experience @ his Arundel venue known as DRAMAZONE clubWEST @ DRAMAZONE |

![]() Does anybody remember the name of the band he fronted in The Paradise Club? I think it might have been something to do with slime or monsters. Steve |
