Default Along These Lines

Is there a kind person who lives in the ITV Meridian area in the South of England, who would be able to record a programme tomorrow (Sunday) for me. All expenses naturally and promptly reimbursed!

The programme is "Along These Lines" and is being shown at 5:15 pm tomorrow, Sunday April 20th, but in the Meridian area only. Frustratingly, I live just outside the area, and can only get a TV signal from there that looks like a snowstorm! Not sure if it's possible to view that channel via Sky, but no use to me anyway as I don't have that either...

Along These Lines Television Series by Platform 14 Productions mentions the possibility of a DVD, but only a possibility. Meridian's dreadful web site does not seem to offer any kind of "TV listen again" at present either.

The reason I'm keen to get a copy of this programme is for my father - it's about the Longmoor Military Railway, where he spent part of his military service in the Royal Engineers, and he'd love to see it again. This railway also is of more general interest, as Britmovie members have identified that a sequence on "The Happiest Days of your Life" was filmed at the Liss Station end of the railway.

Is anyone able to help? Would be very much appreciated...

Many thanks in advance.
Rob

I will try to record it, most interesting to me too as I live quite near the old Longmoor MR*

Harby, that's a great offer - many thanks.

Is there anyone else who might be able to do this, (just in case Harby forgets to put the disc in...)

ITVLocal.com might have this available some time after it is transmitted. You can add other ITV regions to your Sky box, although they don't tell you that 'cos they'd rather you didn't. Try here: FREE EXTRA CHANNELS on SKY SATELLITE

Or here: Astra 2 / Eurobird

There is a video featuring the Longmoor Military Railway, but it's long out of print. Tanks by Train, explains in considerable detail how to get a Covenanter and a Churchill on and off flat bed trucks. It was available from Beulah.

Sorry Rob - misread your post.

I got rid of Sky as it was ridiculous to pay for a hundred and fifty channels of stuff I didn't want just to get the twenty or so that I watched fairly often.

Why didn't you keep your decoder and dish? It would have still given you access virtually all of the Freeview channels plus many other free to air channels including all the BBC and ITV regions.

I'd advise anyone who decides to stop subscribing to hang on to their equipment. It will be even more useful when analogue is switched off.

Hi,
I'm recording this whole series from Sky Meridian region. I'm happy to provide a copy for you for just the cost of blank disc and postage.
