Default Top of the Pops

on behalf of someone from an archives devoted site:

I am trying to hunt down footage from BBC's "Top of the Pops" featuring the
Radha Krsna Temple (sometimes spelled Krishna) performing the single
"Govinda". The episode would have aired any time between 1969 and 1971.

I checked with the BBC directly, and they do not have this, saying that it
may not exist. I'm hoping there is a collector out there who might have it,
or know of any leads. The Radha Krsna Temple's album was produced by George
Harrison, so any untapped Beatles sources that you might know of could be
helpful as well.

Many thanks!

The single evidently first charted on 28th March 1970, so it's likely to be close to that time. Good Luck.

I think it's very unlikely that it exists anywhere.

On the other hand, I still have the my copy of the record. Strange thing for me to have bought with my birthday record token, aged 7. Still love the record though.

There's another Top Of The Pops thread. Check that out as well.

If you do find it, PLEASE post back!

Default The Clash - Pans People "Bankrobber"

A pal of mine is on a "quest" to find the footage of Pans People doing a TOTP routine to The Clash's "Bankrobber". The BBC don't have it. I thought it worth a punt here although I'm not holding my or my pal's breath. Anyone ....?

Default Top Of The Pops 1969-70

I've searched through the existing threads on TOTP, but can't seem to find the link to the site which lists the shows that still exist in the BBC archive. Can anyone help?

Hi.
Try the main BBC website which has a web page allowing you to contact them. That is if you have not done so already. They will probably put your query to a department called BBC Information. Also the Radio Times has a You Ask Us feature. The only problem is that I have sometimes found contacting the BBC frustrating. Probably because it is such an intricate organization.

Default Top of The Pops ('78 to '83)

Hi.

Looking for any and all episodes of Top of The Pops between 1978 and 1983. Happy with Divx or UK Gold repeats etc - would just like to enjoy my era of TOTP once more.

Have a long list of UK telly (drama, cops, supernatural, comedy, kids shows, etc) to trade with.

All the best
Dandy D
