Anybody know if it is possible to obtain the two series of The Travelling Man made by granada tv.
It starred Leigh Lawson on a narrowboat.

Hi I'm wondering if any of you guys could help. I work for a music library and we've had the following enquiry from a gentleman;

I would like to know what was the music playing when the narrow boat in the TV series The Travelling Man with Leigh Lawson burnt down? I believe it was composed by Mozart.

Anyone have any ideas? It's proving pretty difficult to find. Out of curosity how much would it cost to buy the series?

thanks

Hi Shakey

I know where the location of Harmony is as know the current owner. I did visit a couple of weeks ago and he showed me round, the inside of the boat has not changed at all, it still has the torgem, all the wall plaques and the wall fittings, radio etc. The outside of the boat has been painted differently but I did ask him to paint it back the original colours! Is is moored on the Bridgewater Canal, which is where part of the series was filmed.
Ive also got the Travelling Man soundtrack on CD it is available from Amazon.
Id really like to know where the third series "The Watcher" was filmed, if anyone out there knows which village it is?

Hi Jason.

I, too am tying to get hold of the whole series of "Travelling Man". Do you think you could copy them onto DVD or video for me, I would be more than willing to do an exchange if I have anything you are looking for (let me know what) or I can make a thanks for your trouble payment to you via Paypal or by cheque if you like.

The first few episodes initially would be fine and the rest later if it's going to be a lot of work for you.

Hope you can help.

Best regards

Paul

This afternoon, I saw the soundtrack LP to the series in Oxfam's charity shop in Manchester, just off Piccadilly (Oldham Street, I think)

Hi Jason
Sorry to be replying on the main forum. I am emailing on behalf of Andrew (Shakey) as his pc has major problems and he can't email you himself. He apologises for not being able to be in touch yet but these circumstances really are beyond his control!
He wanted you to know that he is still interested in acquiring the video/dvd of Travelling Man. How can we arrange for him to receive it and to send you the necessary in return? Please reply via this site - I gather email addresses aren't supposed to be posted here.

Thanks
Wanda (also a Travelling Man fan)

Hello all.

My search for Video/DVD of Travelling Man has led me to this site and i'm very glad to be a new member. I see from these posts that i'm not alone in looking for a copy of this great and nostalgic TV series and so was wondering (hoping) that someone may know of a way for me to get a copy of the two series.
I'll pay of course so would be grateful if someone could help.

Cheers
