FYI
On further research the series seems to on DVD on e-bay at approx 16 pounds (R2) or 16 dollars (R1).
Why is there only one monopoly commission?

On further, further research it would seem that THERESE RAQUIN is avilable in Spain

Sorry, Aphra. no habla espagnol.

At Euro 4.95 though instead of the 15 quid being asked on e-bay for the same item, there's an incentive to try and muddle through the checkout system.

Don't have the BBC version. but I do have a Region 1 DVD of the Marcel Carne film with Simone Signoret & Raf Vallone (with optional subtitles).

Having met Ms.Nelligan a few times in the 70's, I can easily picture how she'd handle that kind of overture. There is a reason she was so good at playing tightly wound women, you know.

BTW I did get hold of THERESE RAQUIN - the tv drama that is - from Spain.
