Sounds as though it was a version of Jean Paul Sartre's play Vicious Circle.

Have a look at Vicious Circle (1985) (TV)
For some more details.

Default Play for Today: Dreams of Leaving

Would anyone perhaps have David Hare's drama Dreams of Leaving in their collection? Originally broadcast in 1980 in the BBC's Play for Today slot, it features Kate Nelligan as a belle dame sans merci. Miss Nelligan was never more fragrant than in this production. I would be most interested to obtain a copy on DVD.

Hello there, welcom to the forum.

The IMDb (Internet Movie Database) is most useful for this sort of query. It covers many TV programmes as well as films.

John Duttine was in 3 episodes of Play For Today:
Spend Spend Spend (1977) about pools winner Viv Nicholson, Duttine played her husband
Psy-Warriors (1981) I think this is the one you want. Play by David Leland. Three suspected terrorists are arrested after a bomb explosion. Various techniques of psychological torture are used upon them, resulting in revelations about the interrogators as well as the interrogated. Also starring Warren Clarke & Colin Blakely.
The Groundling and the Kite (1984) Play by Bernard Preston about two friends in the music business. With a young Caroline Quentin.
