I've got a copy! It was actually called "Maelstrom" and written by MJ Bird (who also wrote the BBC series "Who Pays the Ferryman", "The Aphrodite Inheritence" and "Dark Side of the Sun" - all of which I also have). I remember the BBC being very embarrased about Maelstrom at the time - In particular, Terry Wogan used to knock it regularly on his radio show! Personally, I was gripped by it at the time ...but I have to admit on re-watching it the acting is very wooden and the story quite slow. Bests, Paul

Hello Paul,

Excellant Paul, I have been after this for ages, I use to watch it in the 80's, when this lady inherited this house across the water and she use to go over there, it was abit errieie and spooky, but I enjoyed it, I just tried so many places to try and get a copy, but to no avail and also getting the name slightly wrong, then I though i'd try Britmovie website as I have brought from this site before, Phantom Light film.

Thank you Paul for your info, How do I get a copy from you and how much plus where do I send the money to, Thanks again Paul for your kind help, I haven't seen Maelstrom since it last was shown in the 80's. John Horne

The house in Norway used in the series belonged to the in-laws of my then-dentist in Denny, Stirlingshire!

Hi, Paul! I've PM'd you, as I'd love a copy of Dark Side of the Sun. It was a cult among a few of us mediƦval history undergrads, having a laugh at its treatment of the poor old Templars...
