Default Casting the Runes YTV 1979 (Night of the Demon)
I remember seeing this Yorkshire TV version when I was 12 - it scared me at the time although I expect if by some miracle I ever get to see it again it'll prove to be quite wobbly. Its based on the MR James story of the same name, which of course was the basis for Tourneur's marvellous Night of the Demon.

I NOTE THAT 'NIGHT OF THE DEMON' OR 'CURSE OF THE DEMON' IS FOR SALE @ £15.99 FROM 'SEND IT'. THAT'S A BIT EXPENSIVE ISN'T IT?

DOES ANYONE HAVE A COPY TO SPARE PLEASE? WE CAN HAGGLE IF NECESSARY!

I don't think it's available in the UK. I've an RI import DVD and the price may be due to the disc containing both versions of Demon.

It would cost you £9.60 from DVD Pacific (£12.00 including postage).

A special edition is due, with Tony Earnshaw and some of the orginal cast and crew (art director, Ken Adam, actress Peggy Cummins, producer Hal E. Chester, assistant director Basil Keys).

i've got CASTING THE RUNES (it was a video copy from a copy which i've now transferred to dvd so picture isn't perfect) as well as NIGHT OF THE DEMON. send me a pm with your email address if interested in either.
