According to a TV episode listing website, series 1 to 5 of Freewheelers no longer exist, however, I have seen a mention somewhere, that someone who was involved with the making of the programme kept a 16mm film copy with part of the first series and that copy has now been acquired by the National Film Archive. The colour series 6 to 8 should still exist, so these programmes together with all that survives from the B/W episodes would make an ideal DVD boxset. ![]() I think the problem with most of the Orlando series not surviving, is that part of the programme went out 'live' and simply was not recorded. Not sure about this, so if anyone could confirm this info....... . |

Used to love the theme tune from Freewheelers. If I remember rightly it was a piece of library music as opposed to a specially comissioned theme tune as I used to hear it elsewhere.
Same was true of the theme tune from Give Us A Clue which was also the theme from Grange Hill. |

Series 6-8 were repeated on the satellite channel, The Children's Channel, and are fairly easy to get hold of with the TCC DOG homepage.mac.com/nickgilbert |
