Hi
Im doing a media A2 essay on British Film from the 50's to present time.
Could anyone give me a list of a few famous British films from 50's, 60's 70's, 80's and 90's that I could watch, research etc?

It might be interesting to compare examples of a genre from different decades. For gangster movies, try Brighton Rock (1947) Get Carter (1971) and Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels (1998).

I picked up The Film Guide No 7 Virgin for 50p at the boot sale. Great info in there.
