I'm doing a film programme as an assessment and I need to compare road movies shot in widescreen with those digitally filmed.

This could be a film shot wholly or only partially with digital cameras; or traditional 35mm but with digital effects (Jurassic Park, for instance); shot traditionally but with digital post-production (Lord of the Rings); intended for digital projection, etc. But obviously they need to be road movies.

I wanted to use "My Own Private Idaho" - does anyone know if the magazine scene was digitally edited?
Other movies I was looking at were "Thelma and Louise", "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", "The Motorcycle Diaries", "Little Miss Sunshine" and "The Bunny and the Bull".
Can any of these movies be connected to be digital? I just have to justify why it's digital.

Or if you know any road movies post 80's that could be justified as digital.

    Sorry this is long!

Have a look at the details for some of those films on the IMDb paying special attention to the crew job titles and the companies involved. From that, it doesn't look like there was any digital filming or post-production work on My Own Private Idaho
