What was the question, again? Ah, I'll stick to films with Brit Politicians just to be safe:
The Prime Minister
Cromwell
The Young Mr. Pitt
The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer
Lady Caroline Lamb

..and I'll second faceoff's mention of No Love for Johnnie, and search out his IMDb review of it!
Lastly, of the ones I've seen (besides The Queen, or Love Actually and their ilk, duh), I will single out Gregory La Cava's MGM , J.M. Barrie adaptation - What Every Women Knows, which is not just another Helen Hayes prestige vehicle.
It contains a remarkable Brian Aherne performance. And it's much better on the whole, than the sentimental stagy adaptations MGM is most know for.

Flashman has also changed over the years. The later books tend to show him less as a bullying thug and more as someone trying to extradite himself from some perilous situation that his undeserved reputation for heroism has landed himself in.
