As part of my A2 media studies critical research study i am asking the question how are women represented in US and UK teen movies? I am using the US teen films, 'American Pie 2' and 'Scary Movie 3' and for the UK films i am using

'Kidulthood' and 'Life & Lyrics' i have included a clip from each of the films below and i would appreciate the views from females mainly however males feel free to voice your opinion. I've just watched the 1st, 3rd and 4th video clips, as the 2nd one was no longer available.



Video 3 (Kidultmovie) I almost turned off due to the violence. As a parent, female, it was distressing and also annoying. The biggest concern being that there are so many pathetic actors/directors/producers out there who want to participate in such a cruel movie like that.



Scary Movie 3 (Video clip 1) was OK but I wouldn't watch the whole movie. It didn't take a lot of brain power to watch it, but it didn't get up my nose. The actresses played the part of the blonde bimbos well.



Video Clip 4 was OK, but I'm afraid I couldn't understand everything that was said when they were rapping. I couldn't quite get the meaning of the movie.



Don't know if this is of any help.
