Many of them have only directed one piece of work, and that's often just a documentary and/or short. But see how you get on.
As for your own career path, note how many of these have also done lots of other jobs in the business, working their way up to director. It is a male dominated industry and there's no quick and easy route to becoming a director. But don't let that stop you trying
