I left Islington in 1950. What I have heard, I would have been too young to have been allowed in to see what they put on there. Although I am sure I have seen somewhere a photograph of a placard, taken in the 50's when Charlie Gracie came over here during the rock 'n' roll era. He was on the bill. Can't think of who else.
