When you list the messages in your inbox there's a tick box by each of them.
Tick the ones you want to delete and then scroll down. Just under the bottom of the list, on the right, there's a pull down list that says "Selected messages (#)" where the '#' is the number you have marked.
Select "Delete" from that pull down list and then click on Proceed
