    Hi Tim,
Yes thanks, I am fighting fit again although I didn't have the stamina to take part in the local Marathon this year, but then neither did my running partner who is only 51. I am back at the gym again, but I have cut down to three times a week, I feel very lucky to have made a full recovery from what could have been a fatal illness if I hadn't been so fit.

    Regards

    Ray

Hi Tim,my apologies for not acknowledging your greeting sooner-I've not visited this site for quite some time and my 'notification' alert seems to have mirrored my own ennui!
Anyway,I trust that things are good in your 'neck of the woods'? All the best!

Thanks for accepting the friend request - it will be interesting to hear an American perspective on British TV and Films. While you're awaiting the next British period drama I'm awaiting the next series of Mad Men and House M.D.. At the moment UK TV is terrible, and I prefer US drama (especially anything from Joss Whedon, and I adored Gilmore girls). I notice that you mentioned A&E network in some of your threads. From the 90s both our major networks (BBC & ITV) made many co-productions with US stations A&E and WGBH Boston, mostly period or classic dramas but not all (e.g. Inspector Morse specials, Amis' The Green Man). A&E also release Brit TV DVDs (if you've never seen it, check out Sapphire & Steel). As you'll see, Khartoum is featured in one of my Great British Movies photoalbums. Enjoy this photo.

Hi Tim, it would be nice to have a friend on the other side of the ocean, might help put a different perspective on things from time to time.
    Best wishes
