I'm curious to see who else is on the west side of the pond. Or, if you are (or were) an American, but residing elsewhere.

I live 30 minutes north of Boston, near the New Hampshire border. Born in NYC - lived most of my life between the two cities, with periods in Chicago and Charlottesville mixed in.

Hi bell! I had thought this thread would be a bit more popular when I first posted it, but you never know what will take off and what won't! :-)

I'm an American born and bred.In younger years I visited England a few times - easily done when my sister was stationed there at the late lamented RAF Upper Heyford.

I have a cousin currently stationed in the Air Force at Newmarket. But my mother told me he's getting transferred to Afghanistan. (He works in the control tower -- pretty responsible job.) I'm hoping he'll still be in England when I go over to study this summer.

BTW, what is the meaning behind the handle "The Thunder Ch"?

Possible answers: Thunderchiefs, Thunderchild, Thunder cheerleaders = all responses from a google search.
