I was thinking that it might be interesting/fun to have a place for members to post their special interest(s) pertaining to British films, filmmakers, actors, etc. I've enjoyed figuring out some, via posts and viewing profiles (e.g., the Dirk Bogarde groupies, the Powell & Pressburger expert, the Torin Thatcher admirer, and I think there's an Ealing comedies person and at least one Carry On enthusiast), but I thought a bird's eye view would be of use, especially to a newbie.
To use the format of a 12-step program, here's me:
"Hi, I'm Monica, and I adore Deborah Kerr, have a bit of a crush on Cyril Raymond, and know Brief Encounter backwards and forwards."

Oh, I know that exists, and I've used it for that means, also adding other items. (Personally, when I did my profile I thought there wasn't enough space in the "Interests" section, which I took to include hobbies outside Brit movie topics as well.)

But I was thinking of "special pigeon" as a special interest or concern -- you know, like Alec explains about pneumoconiosis (yes, I did have to look that up to spell) in Brief Encounter. I was thinking of this thread potentially as a means of getting information in one space, in addition to separate profiles. People can post and review here, and also look up more detailed information on individual user profiles as (or if) they see fit.
