I'm still finding my way around the new uploader. Is there a way to remove a note which lists attached images that is showing below a post? I inserted eight images into a post and something I did made that note about attachments crop up. The funny thing is that one of the images no longer exists.

Any advice would be most welcome.

    Nice image, DB.

What I was referring to is a citation of two images (see below) which is underneath a message I posted containing 8 images. The two images are repeats of images in the message. Why is it there...and can it be removed? Thanks.

Thanks for that. I've found the 'Manage attachments'. But is there a "Remove image" option? I note that images can be
put in the bottom tray for display but not removal that I see.

If you mouse-over the images in the lower pane a red x appears in the top right corner to delete them.

Excellent. I can do it in future messages. Re: prior messages: I take it that once the "Edit" time for a message has lapsed, that the bottom notice re: attached images is there for good?

    Thanks much for the help.

    Best,

I don't think there are any wayward attachments. If using the uploader try switching to 'basic uploader'. If Photobucket they can be inserted as usual.

Many thanks, DB7, for the excellent help. The bottom list of attached images is gone too. Terrific!

Just got used to the system for posting photos, now it's changed. I am having to go into edit to get a full sized photo instead of the little thumbnail that comes up when I first post?

If you are loading the image from another site, like PhotoBucket, click on the From URL tab on the pop-up, give the URL and un-tick where it says Retrieve remote file and reference locally

Why are people suddenly feeling the need to use attachments? Why not just go to Photobucket and then just cut and paste the IMG code? It's always worked for me and still does.

    Hi, Captain,

I definitely don't want to use attachments. Thus the reason I started this thread to find out why the -unwanted- click list of attachments cropped up below one of my messages. The old copy-paste-the url works for me too.

Because that's now the default if you click on the image icon. I don't like them because if there are more than one on a page you can only view one at a time.

If you are loading the image from another site, like PhotoBucket, click on the From URL tab on the pop-up, give the URL and un-tick where it says Retrieve remote file and reference locally

Why click on the Image icon in the first place? Just cut and paste from Photobucket in one easy stage
