Default Pair of free passes to the Widescreen Weekend festival

14th Bradford International Film Festival
National Media Museum, Bradford
Friday 29 February – Saturday 15 March 2008
Box office 0870 70 10 200 Bradford International Film Festival 2008 - National Media Museum

We've teamed up with the National Media Museum ahead of the 14th Bradford International Film Festival to offer Widescreen Weekend passes to the Bradford International Film Festival, worth £140.

The Bradford International Film Festival (29 February – 15 March 2008) is one of the UK’s most anticipated film festivals and this year is no exception, with 50 premieres and previews among the 120 films across the festival's 16 day run. In addition, the Festival is honoured to welcome Kenneth Branagh and Michael Palin to Bradford to receive a BIFF Fellowship Award and BIFF Lifetime Achievement Award respectively, while showcasing retrospectives of their finest works.

The festival is crammed with new releases, vintage classics, retrospectives, tributes and a glittering array of special guests including Barry Norman, emerging German film maker Christian Petzold, pioneer of punk Julien Temple, Mike Figgis and composer Patrick Doyle.

As an integral part of the festival, the Widescreen Weekend continues to welcome all those fans of large format and widescreen films – CinemaScope, VistaVision, 70mm, Cinerama and IMAX – and presents an array if past classics from the vaults of the National Media Museum. A weekend to wallow in the nostalgic best of cinema, including digitally-restored versions of the The Great Escape and The Sand Pebbles, alongside Michael Powell’s Honeymoon, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner: The Final Cut, Hamlet, Star! and many more.

For further details on the festival visit the official website at Bradford International Film Festival 2008 - National Media Museum.
