Default is there a USmovie forum too?

Britmovie film forum is a great place to share and seek out information about UK films and TV, and I am also very pleased to have made some great trades for previously impossible-to-find titles. But there are a couple of US titles that I have also been trying to find that are extremely elusive as out-of-print videos and are not released on DVD. I was wondering if any of our American friends know of a similar enthusiasts site for US film and TV?

Apologies if this is an out-of-order thread!

There isn't really a site that deals with Hollywood specificly but there is a site called In the Balcony that deals with older film titles and generally covers Hollywood. It has its own forum.

inthebalcony.com

In The Balcony

It is a very 'in order' thread by the way.

Yes, but they get deleted. For example, someone joined the board to post about the music they had created (with a link to it) that had no connection with film whatsoever, let alone British film, and posted it in the British film music section.

Default American Film Forum

Some considerable time ago someone asked about an equivalent American film forum. Came across this courtesy of a google alert:

Cinema Strikes Back - Covering the World of Film » An American Werewolf in London (1981) - Movie Image (2 of 2)

Haven't taken much of a look but it may be of some interest although its remit appears to be a tad wider than just US films and its user base is somehwat smaller than this forum.

All the best

Default non-Brit movie forum?

Sorry if this is off-topic, or maybe anti-topic, but does anyone know if there is a forum like this for other kinds of movies?

There are more forums out there than you can shake a stick at .... horror, sci-fi, spy, comedy, European 'art films' ..... they are all out there. I am sure some other members belong to more than this one (I am a one forum guy) so they'll probably be able to name names. Or you could try Googling 'film forum'.

There are a lot out there for all sorts of other topics. But I don't think that there are many others like this one. Although we do have a few spats from time to time, on the whole this one is remarkably civilised

I know of others where every little mistake is mercilessly mocked, new members are taunted for not knowing as much as more experienced members and they regularly have to lock topics to stop the slanging matches continuing.

Although it is not a forum, per se, it does have a wealth
of reference for movies of all genres.

That's true. I think we all use it constantly and this forum's Steve Crook is a major contributor.
